One significant piece of PE related news in this festive period was our receiving the School Games Award. Although this was presented during the Sportshall Athletics competition, it is a reflection of all the PE and Sport in which we were involved over the 2016-17 school year. This includes all the events, festivals and competitions that we entered and all the work within school such as having Sports Leaders helping during lunchtimes with the younger children. Schools can gain either a Bronze, Silver or Gold award, depending on their level of participation and we are very pleased and proud to say that we have gained the Gold Award this year.
